DZIF Mode of action platform
My group focuses on the elucidation of the mechanisms of action of antibiotics from diverse chemical classes. We are engaged in translational research within the German Center of Infection Research (DZIF[TS1]), where we develop and conduct “SmartScreens” in search of new antibiotic lead candidates and set up a MoA (mode of action) platform for target identification and drug-target interaction analysis that is continuously extended on all cellular levels.
The platform combines whole-cell based and biochemical approaches for target identification and analysis.
